Application Process

  1. Applications to the Erasmus Office
    • You can access the Application Conditions using the link.
    • You can access the documents required for the application using the link.
    • You can enroll in the Erasmus course opened in Ninova by contacting the process advisors.
    • Participation in information meetings held by the department during the application process is important.
  2. Applications to the universities to exchange with
  • MEEC - Approval of the Program Erasmus Coordinator is required.


Before the Mobility

  1. Receiving the acceptance letter
  2. Submission of required documents before mobility. You can access the relevant documents using the link.
    • Preparing the course program by getting approval from the course instructors for the compulsory courses to be chosen, and from the Process Advisors assigned to them for the elective courses.
    • Preparation of Recognition Sheet (RS) document according to approved courses
    • Preparation of Online Learning Agreement (OLA) in line with the RS document approved by the process advisors.
    • Signing of OLA and RS document by the coordinator
  3. In course selection, it is expected that the courses at the host institution and ITU will be over 27 ECTS and below 33 ECTS and the ECTS difference between the host institution and ITU will be 5 or less than 5.
  4. Documents signed by the Program Coordinator are sent to the Registrar’s Office for board approval.
  5. Board-approved documents are sent to the Erasmus Office by the Registrar’s Office.
  6. Signed documents, grant, and visa procedures should be followed by the Erasmus Office after this step.
  7. In cases of cancellation, semester change, shortening, or extension of the mobility, the relevant documents in the link must be submitted to the Dean's Office/Institute. It is the student's responsibility to monitor and control the Faculty/Institute leave.


During the Mobility

  1. You can access the documents that need to be uploaded during mobility from the link.
  2. To add/drop courses, changes to LA and RS documents are required. You can access the relevant documents from the link.
    1. Preparing the course program by getting approval from the course instructors for the compulsory courses to be chosen, and from the Process Advisors assigned to them for the elective courses.
    2. Preparation of Recognition Sheet Change (RS Change) document according to approved courses
    3. Preparation of Online Learning Agreement Change (OLA Change) in line with the RS document approved by the process advisors.
    4. The signing of OLA Change and RS Change document by the coordinator
  3. The change process must be completed within 7 weeks from the date the semester starts at the host institution.
  4. After course add/drop procedures, it is expected that the courses at the host institution and ITU will be over 27 ECTS and below 33 ECTS and the ECTS difference between the host institution and ITU will be 5 or less than 5.
  5. Documents signed by the Program Coordinator are sent to the Registrar’s Office for board approval.
  6. Board-approved documents are sent to the Erasmus Office by the Registrar’s Office.
  7. Signed documents, grant, and visa procedures should be followed by the Erasmus Office after this step.


After the Mobility

  1. Submission of the required documents after returning to ITU. You can access the required documents from the link.
  2. Resolving possible course conflicts.
